The FAIR principles suggest having a PID for 'findable'. This would be possible for software via zenodo, for example.

I suggest to integrate for example deploy2zenodo in your provided .gitlab-ci.yml and maybe also in your provided github workflow.

You can adapt the README to suggest a solution for a user. One simple solution would be the github zenodo integration. But this depends on closed source github system.
