Description
Background & Context
The current homepage of Web Dev Path positions us as a single offering, but our reality is dual: we serve two distinct groups.
- Talents (developers, designers, PMs) who join the platform to grow, gain experience, and find opportunities.
- Clients (non-profits, early-stage companies, small businesses) who come to us for affordable, socially-aligned tech solutions.
Both groups are important to our growth. Right now, the homepage hero speaks to them in a blended, sometimes ambiguous voice. This creates friction in first impressions.
What do we need to build?
To implement a toggle feature in the hero section that allows visitors to choose between joining as a Talent (developer, designer, product manager, etc.) or as a Client (NGO, small businesses, etc.), each with its own CTA buttons
Objectives
- Clarity: Visitors immediately understand “who we are” for them
- Conversion: Higher click-through to onboarding (Talent) and request forms (Client).
- Brand positioning: Reinforce Web Dev Path as a bridge between talent development and mission-driven impact.
- Scalability: Establish a foundation for future personalization of landing experiences.
User Stories (Cross-Stage Narrative)
- As a Talent, I want to see clear reasons why joining Web Dev Path helps my career, so I feel motivated to register.
- As a Client, I want to know Web Dev Path understands my challenges and can deliver affordable, quality tech services, so I feel confident in reaching out.
- As a new Visitor, I want the choice to be simple and not overwhelming, so I can act quickly.
- As a Team Member, I want clarity on flow, visuals, and copy at every stage, so I can contribute without ambiguity.
