Good day, I got a btt octopus pro board, it has STM32F446ZE chip, it wold be great if in boards.h it is included, since its hard to make it match the other related in boards.h.

Does it have the same pin map as the H7xx version? If so it should be fairly easy to add.

yes, same pin out, the only change is the processor STM32F446ZET6.

I have added the board for you to test. In the Web Builder you have two options, with 32K bootloader for flashing via SD card and one without for flashing via DFU or programmer.

Hi, I tested and uploaded the firmware.bin to the board sd and stlink, both native usb and uart, however no comm port loaded, checking the sd its mounting the bin, but the board has no response, is there any way to upload the board definitions to grblhal to compile with vs code, I know hot to compile there and upload via stlink, thanks.

If you create a Web Builder build with the platformio.ini (job.ini) added you can adapt that for VS Code since I assume that will be using Platformio for building. Note that I configured the build for a 25MHz crystal, I do not know if that is correct.

When you uploaded via STLink did you flash the non-bootloader version?

I have changed the Web Builder for a 12 MHz crystal, if you compile yourself it is the HSE_VALUE that has to be changed.

Did you change the linker script?

For a bootloader version use STM32F446ZETX_BL32K_NONVS_FLASH.ld, this since the board has an EEPROM for settings storage (if it is the same as the H7 version).

And since it is a bootloader version did you flash it to 0x8008000 with STLink or use the SD card for flashing?
If ever flashed to 0x08000000 with STLink the bootloader will be overwritten and the code will not run.

You have to enable the EEPROM in my_machine.h, uncomment and change this line to #define EEPROM_ENABLE 32
And add #define BOARD_BTT_OCTOPUS_PRO to my_machine.h to activate the board map.

Was the filename changed on the SD card?
And FYI I referenced a BTT document to set the bootloader size to 32K, I have no idea if this is correct.

Perhaps the best way to move forward is using the STLink to program a no bootloader version and thus overwrite the bootloader (extract it first). Then run debug session(s) to see if the code starts up correctly. FYI USB can be a pain to get working, it will not work if the USB peripheral clock is not 48 MHz.
