MVisInstall
Mining Visualizer proper is a GUI app that interfaces with your miners, and drives the desktop widget displays and the Web App. It is often referred to as MVis. The installation steps for Windows and Mac OS X are very similar, and are presented below. MVis is not currently available on the Linux platform, although hopefully that will change soon. (The program compiles, but there are some runtime issues)
- Download the
.zip / .tar.gzfile containing the latest version of MVis and extract it to a folder of your choice - Double-click MiningVisualizer to launch the program
- Select Tools / Preferences from the menu
- Click the green Plus sign to add a new miner

- Fill in the name and IP address fields for the miner
- Enter in the number of GPU's and the expected hash rate

- If the miner is currently running, click the Test Connection button to verify that you have a good network connection with the miner
- Click Ok, and then close the Preferences dialog. If the mining rig is running, you should see a message in the log view stating that
<Rig_Name> has connected
- Open a web browser to http://localhost:8018/ to access the Web App.

Mining Visualizer comes with a set of desktop widgets for both Windows and Mac OS X. Under Windows, widget support is provided by Rainmeter, and the setup instructions are here. Under Mac OS X the widgets are provided by GeekTool, and the setup instructions can be found here.
