Oh My Zsh

ohmyzsh
Portland, OR

Your shell deserves nice things.

Oh My Zsh began as a weekend experiment — a small way to make the command line less gray and a bit more you.
Sixteen years later, it’s helping millions of developers feel faster, smarter, and maybe even cooler at the terminal.

Not because anyone told them to use it.
Because you — and thousands of others — chose to make it better.

Open source is a gift economy

A few of us maintain Oh My Zsh in our spare time. We each have full-time jobs, but we carve out evenings, weekends, and caffeine-fueled mornings to review pull requests, fix bugs, update plugins, and keep the lights on.

We also spend time connecting with our community on Discord and in GitHub Discussions, helping each other grow and learn.

It’s a labor of love. But love doesn’t cover hosting, design help, or the hours spent helping strangers troubleshoot their terminal setups.

That’s where sponsorship comes in.

This isn’t charity. It’s stewardship.

When your company sponsors Oh My Zsh, you’re not just donating — you’re investing in the reliability of something your team already depends on.
You’re saying, “We care about the tools that care about our developers.”

Every contribution helps us:

  • Keep the project running smoothly
  • Improve documentation, plugins, and themes
  • Support the small team that keeps this global garden alive

For teams and individuals alike

If you’re part of a company that uses Oh My Zsh, tell your manager this:

“We depend on it. Let’s support it.”

And if you’re an individual user, you can still help. Every sponsorship, no matter the size, is a thank-you note that keeps the momentum going.

You can sponsor us right here on GitHub or contribute through OpenCollective.

Because your shell deserves nice things.

And the people who make those nice things? They deserve a little support too.
